Keeping The Curtain Up
A musical theatre treat supporting the Australian performing arts community.
Hosted by Shane Jacobson, Keeping The Curtain Up is an evening dedicated to musical theatre, taking a look at some of the best moments from musicals produced in Australia in the last decade or so.
The online performance will take place at 7pm on Saturday 18th July and will be available to view at artscentremelbourne.com.au
Special guests include Lisa McCune, Lucy Durack, Alinta Chidzey and Verity Hunt-Ballard as they revisit much-loved shows including Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, Mary Poppins, Billy Elliott, My Fair Lady, The Rocky Horror Show and many more.
You will see performances from stars of the Australian stage including Reg Livermore AO, Jemma Rix, Hayden Tee, iOTA, Paul Capsis, Esther Hannaford, Eddie Perfect, Kate Ceberano AM and Genevieve Lemon, entertaining you as only these icons can. The program was devised and produced by David Mitchell and Jon Nicholls OAM, and directed by Martin Croft.
Keeping The Curtain Up promises to be a fun-filled night that will have you singing along to your favourite show tunes.
Donations for the event can be made to the Actors Benevolent Fund of NSW who will then distribute funds raised equally across the Actors and Entertainers Benevolent Funds, Trusts and organisations across Australia, including the VABT. To donate to Keeping the Curtain Up, visit abfnsw.org/curtain
